Willie Allan, After Dinner Speaker, Motivational Speaker, Event host, and auctioneer. Willie is one of the most brilliant speakers on the circuit today.
Drawing heavily from his experiences in the diverse world of education, Willie uses humour as a vehicle to deliver a variety of client led messages. He describes his style as a “disruption of expectation.”
His reputation has been forged in a variety of venues from local clubs to the top hotels and conference centres in the UK.
Willie has been on the after-dinner circuit since 1992 performing at venues ranging from local miners’ welfare clubs to the top hotels throughout the UK alongside speakers such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Ian St John, Frank Worthington, Jim Watt, Russ Abbott, Jasper Carrott, Stan Boardman and Gerry Stevens.

Within the educational environment, Willie used a variety of management techniques to utilise individual department members’ strengths; achieving positive results.
A deep understanding of the needs and demands of his pupils’ and the daily challenges they faced, allowed him to achieve healthy working relationships with the youngsters in his care. His motivational presentations explain the benefits of a sympathetic client-centered approach.

Willie was booked for our Variety Golfing Society Cel- Am at Fairmont St Andrews. Due to a timing issue , Willie was asked to speak last! No tall order as the audience included Sir Stephen Redgrave, Gerry Stevens, Henry Cooper, Tim Brooke -Taylor , Mike Gatting, Russ Abbott, Jasper Carrott, Stan Boardman and Johhny More. After some outstanding and hilarious performances from some of the stars present Willie stood up and delivered a brilliantly funny 20 minutes. He walked off to a standing ovation!

Willie Allan was born in Edinburgh and brought up in Dunfermline in the Kingdom of Fife. He was educated at Queen Anne High School, Dunfermline, and the Scottish School of Physical Education, Glasgow.
A keen sportsman, Willie spent 13 seasons as a non-tackling stand-off with Dunfermline Rugby Club. He has also represented The North and Midlands. Willie was forced to give up the game due to a serious knee injury but has concentrated his efforts on coaching. He has re-established rugby at Buckhaven High School with the formation of the Buckhaven Sharks.
A committed but totally useless golfer, he is a member of Lundin and Dunfermline (Pitfirrane) Golf Clubs.
Willie Allan has been on the after-dinner circuit since 1992. His ability to adapt his material to any audience has led to many bookings the length and breadth of the United Kingdom and further afield; particularly in the corporate market.
His main influences have been his father and grandfather both coal miners in Midlothian and Fife for over thirty years. His parents were involved in the licenced trade for over fifty years. ‘The Bruce Tavern’ has proved to be a rich source of the material.
As a school teacher in the East of Fife, Willie also obtains a considerable amount of material from his classes’ eclectic mix of pupils!
He is heavily involved with various charitable causes and is an ambassador for SkillForce.
