Singer Melanie Masson became an X factor favourite when she shot to the British public’s attention with her raw, blues vocals and heart rending rendition of Janis Joplin’s Cry Baby.With almost 3 million hits on YouTube She very quickly became a favourite with millions of fans in the UK and from all over the world. Gaining respect and admiration from fans and critics alike, she introduced the X factor audience to Janis Joplin and blues music and sailed into the live finals.
Melanie continues to delight and excite with her live shows.

Her soul- searing vocals hark back to a time where performers wore their hearts on their sleeves and sang with truth, passion and real soul.

Currently recording her album, there are an army of fans patiently waiting.own for her powerhouse performances on ITV’s X Factor 2012, amazing the judges and public with her incredible voice, covering Janis Joplin’s ‘Cry Baby’. She reached the live shows with mentor Gary Barlow. Since then, her life’s been a whirlwind!She signed to major music company Delirious/Blacksmith, sharing a roster with Sam Smith and Emile Sande, and is recording a new album.

She toured the UK, was nominated for a Capital FM best newcomer and starred in David Baddiel’s ‘The Infidel’ at Theatre Royal, Stratford East, London.Melanie was previously signed to EMI.She recorded and toured with Pink, The Stereophonics, Kasabian, Norman Cook, Shaun Ryder, Russell Watson, Mark Owen, The Prodigy, Leo Sayer, David Essex, Mike Batt, Don Black, Midge Ure, Wet Wet Wet, and Altered Images.
