That Swing Sensation

That Swing Sensation Big Band, Swing, Jazz and Rat Pack for Weddings, Dinners, Festivals, Functions throughout Scotland.
The band is a group of Scottish musicians, brought together by saxophonist and leader Jon Ritchie. It comes in various formats providing band sizes of 3-17 players including male & female singers.
That Swing Sensation will adapt to most venues and can put together a programme that will be enjoyed by everyone whether their taste lies with a big band, swing, ballroom, Jive or Rock and Roll.

That Swing Sensation has an extensive repertoire of music from the 20s, 30s, 40’s and 50s onwards covering a wide variety to suit just about every taste and age group.
The band performs every month at dances, weddings, festivals and functions in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Ayr, Stirling, Aberdeen, Dundee, St Andrew and throughout Scotland and the North of England in combinations from jazzy duets, through trios, quartets and quintets up to a full 17 piece, big band.
Band Format
They can provide anything from solo instruments, through small combos of 3, 4, or 5 musicians up to the full band of 17 musicians.
Music: Primarily a swing dance band the music features classics made famous by the likes of Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack as well as more modern arrangements by Robbie Williams, Michael Buble and Paul Anka with a bit of good old Rock and Roll and just about anything from Rumbas, Tangos and Cha Cha Cha’s to a touch of ABBA
Dust off those dancing shoes for a great night of social dancing as you lindy, jive, quickstep, foxtrot and waltz the night away or sit back and listen to That Swing Sensation do their stuff.
The band recently completed yet another sell-out show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2016
