Meredith McCrindle is a native of Houston, Texas and has played the Harp professionally since 1999.
Meredith is in demand for weddings, concerts, and special events. She will tailor her music to suit every occasion with a repertoire from pop, classical, Scottish and folk.
In June 2016, she appeared in Vogue’s 100th issue and, in June 2017, received a glowing review in the Tatler Magazine wedding guide. Meredith maintains an active performance career, including many weddings, special events and guest appearances in the U.K. and internationally.
She also maintains resident harp positions at Dumfries House and Trump Turnberry.
Meredith received her Bachelor’s degree in Harp Performance and Music Business from Loyola University, New Orleans. In 2009 she moved to Scotland to begin her postgraduate studies at the University of St. Andrews. There she was awarded a harp scholarship while studying Management in the Creative Industries. She and her husband Simon moved to Ayr in 2011, opening Scotland’s flagship music store, Ayr Guitar. In October 2013, Meredith and Simon became parents to twin boys, William and Alexander. As a Hurricane Katrina survivor, she has a keen interest in re-building communities. This interest has blossomed in Ayr, where she is a member of the Ayr Town Centre Steering Group and is the Chair of a local festival, TamFest.
