Haggerdash

Haggerdash is one of Scotland’s favourite Folk Groups. Playing a wide range of songs and tunes. Haggerdash are much in demand for festivals and folk clubs around Scotland, England, Norway, Denmark and France.
The group has taken many musical influences over the year’s and this is shown in the wide range of material that they perform. Haggerdash also perform many self -penned tunes
The members are Alan Jones – Concertina, Bouzouki, Guitar, 5-String Banjo as well as taking lead vocals on many well- known and self -penned songs. Alan is well known in the Folk Music scene having previously played with Three’s a Crowd, The Govan Spoonful and Hot Toddy
Jack Bethel – Hammered Dulcimer, Fiddle, Whistle, Concertina. Jack was a former member of the hugely popular band Setanta.
Billy Stewart – Bouzouki, Guitar,5-String Banjo, Harmonica, Bodhran. Billy takes lead vocals on quite a few well -known songs as well as performing his own compositions. He is also a founder member of Haggerdash.

After years on the circuit the band continue to be as popular as ever and are in great demand in their native Scotland. Playing year after year at Tinto Folk Festival, Portsoy International Boat Festival and the Edinburgh Festival. They are also regular visitors to Ballerup Music Festival in Denmark.
