Graham Cordiner wedding and events pianist is a highly talented and experienced classically trained pianist who over the years has performed with some of Scotland’s top bands.
Graham has a repertoire that ranges from Jazz, swing, standards to pop and classical.
The consummate professional Graham is at ease with easy listening background music for cocktail parties, weddings, restaurants and corporate events. Graham has worked at most of the top venues in Scotland including Gleneagles, Cameron House, Hilton Hotels, Radisson Hotels, Thistle Hotels, etc.
Graham played the piano for Paul Buchanan of the Blue Nile on his tour of the Netherlands and Belgium to promote Paul’s recent album and with Mary K Burke at Loch Lomond Folk Festival and for the launch of a Congolese/Jazz Fusion CD.
Graham’s interest and love for music are very diverse, but he knows how to bring this expertise and varied background to the service of discreet quality background piano music.
The choice of music comes from years of experience in knowing what is suited to the audience an includes Sinatra, Nat King Cole Michael Buble jazz standards, Elton John, Billy Joel, the odd Classical piece and more recent pop material from Alicia Keys If I Ain’t Got You and Rhianna’s Unfaithful
Graham uses a state of the art sound system and a top of the range digital piano. If the venue has a Baby Grand piano, Graham is happy to use that.
Graham takes the view that it is your evening, and he will do everything he can to make it that bit more special for you and your guests.
Graham studied in various establishments starting with Royal Scottish Academy of Music (now renamed The Royal Scottish Conservatoire).
His singing teacher was Winnie Busfield who gained a CBE for her services to music.
He has a Performer’s Diploma in Singing (classical music), a Piano Teaching Diploma and various other qualifications including a B.Sc degree in Music Technology with Electronics and an Advanced Diploma in music for Film and TV.
Graham lectured in music and the Rock and Pop Music Performance course at North Glasgow College for ten enjoyable years where he taught mainly singing and also – for three of these years – piano/keyboards in which he has a teaching diploma.uests.
