Amy Irons

Amy Irons is a Scottish TV and radio presenter, journalist, voiceover artist and event host.

She’s become a familiar face on Scottish TV, presenting on some of the biggest programmes in recent years including Hogmanay on BBC One Scotland,  BBC’s Sport’s Personality of The Year, Sportscene and Scot Squad.

Amy currently presents the hugely popular football podcast “Sacked in the Morning” as well as the long-running BBC outdoor programme; The Adventure Show.

She also presents on BBC Scotland’s flagship news programme The Nine, and fronts the entertainment news programme; The Edit.  She has covered some of the biggest sporting stories in recent years including Euro 2020, and The Women’s World Cup making appearances on both Radio 1 and BBC Five Live.

Before breaking into TV Amy was already popular with audiences as one of the hosts on the hugely successful Capital Breakfast Show and within months of Amy joining, the new line-up achieved the station’s highest listening figures and was subsequently shortlisted at the ARIA awards as one of the best breakfast shows in the UK.
