Alan Thomson

Alan Thomson was formerly Garry Owen of the Daily Record and Joe Punter of the Sunday Mail.

Thomson has been in journalism all his working life, forging a career through weekly newspapers to the Evening Times in Glasgow, Daily Mail, Daily Record and Sunday Mail.

He also worked in Hong Kong for a year as sports editor of the South China Morning Post.

Alan Thomson now works as a freelance journalist, semi-professional gambler and raconteur on the After Dinner circuit entertaining audiences with tales of the world of horse racing and its characters.
