Kilsyth Thistle Pipe Band is a Grade 4 competing band. A community-based organisation that has been serving the local area since 1891. They are one of the oldest civilian pipe bands in continuous existence in the world. Their objectives are the promotion of traditional piping and drumming in Kilsyth, Kirkintilloch, and the surrounding area. The band is open to everyone who is interested in traditional Pipes and drums
The band has a choice of uniforms number 2 and Number 1 (Bearskins) with Royal Stewart Tartan.
The drummers of Kilsyth Thistle Pipe Band signed off the season in style with a victory in their category at the Cowal Highland Gathering in Dunoon.
The band and pipers are available for Weddings, Special Occasions, Hogmanay, St Andrews Day Celebrations, Gala Days and Burns Suppers
