Chris Clark is a jazz guitarist, singer and band leader who has played to 4 Star Reviews at the Glasgow Jazz Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe and various venues throughout the UK & Ireland.
His album ‘How I Wish’ plays on BBC radio programmes such as ‘The Jazzhouse’, and ’The Iain Anderson Show’. Live gigs feature his mellow jazz singing, often with anecdotes about some of the great songwriters whose tunes he performs from ‘The Great American Songbook’.
Chris tours solo as a guitarist/singer or with his trio or quartet. He has performed alongside a variety of established Scottish and International jazz artists such as the great Barbara Morrison backing musician for Ray Charles, Frank Perowski, ex-musical director to Liza Minnelli and Warren Vache trumpet on the Rod Stewart albums.
He performed as solo support to the legendary Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner Annie Ross jazz singer in recognition of her contribution to music in the USA
During a very successful week at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Chris’ show was highly recommended by the fabulous Dillie Keane of Fascinating Aida to her audiences: “Chris does it all, rarely heard verses included, also with great insights into some little known songwriters…not to be missed!”
And Jack Skelton [Broadwaybaby.com] commented:
“Clark’s easygoing and gregarious manner perfectly suited the intimate setting. These traits were reflected in his storytelling, which was always informative.
