Cole Page - Singer for Hire
Cole Page Jazz/Swing Singer
The music goes with a swing whenever Cole Page is around, and for a singer who was a decade ahead of his time that is no surprise.
Appearances
Cole has a successful track record in venues throughout the UK and Europe and 2003 saw him performing in Florence Italy, in Marbella Spain at the International Red Cross Ball and at the Spanish Ball of the year for the prestigious Cudeca charity where he shared the stage with Rick Wakeman and performed to distinguished guests such as world Cup Winner Alan Ball, former England Manager Glen Hoddle, entertainer Kenny Lynch and other celebrities from the world of sport and TV.
Hall Of Fame
Closer to home, Cole has performed at many celebrity events, including that of the Manchester United Manager, Sir Alex Ferguson’s private Christmas Party, as well as the Manchester United players Christmas party.
To add to the afore mentioned, Cole has performed for many famous people, including, Kylie Minogue, Pele, Bryan Robson, Alan Shearer, Johnny Wilkinson, Glenn McRory and Brian Capron, which earned him mentions in the UK’s OK & Hello Magazines.
The most notable performance however has got to be when he performed for President Bill Clinton. “You were fantastic”, was the Presidents verdict, a comment that has been emulated by many who have witnessed this entertainer’s slick performance.
Theatre
In May 2004, Cole was invited to appear in a concert at The Bridgewater Hall with the wonderful Band of her Majesty’s Royal Marines Scotland, a superb 42 piece big band. The evening was such a success that a return to The Bridgewater Hall with the same Orchestra was scheduled for 22 April 2005.
In July 2004 Cole appeared at The Opera House, Manchester, in his own show, “A Swinging Affair”, which was a one night only appearance, where Cole, accompanied by a 17 piece Swing Orchestra, entertained a packed audience with many of the Swing & Big Band classics that we know and love. The response was fantastic and another evening in the same venue was booked for 6th March 2005.
Television & Radio
In December 2004 Cole had appearances on Granada TV’s “The Afternoon Show” and ITV’s “That’s Entertainment”, and was also invited to do a One Hour Christmas Special on radio station BBC GMR which received rave revues from the listening public
Original Music
In December 2004, Cole was commissioned to write some of the music for a film, “In For A Penny” a project that has seen him return to writing and recording.
America
In February 2005, Cole made his first Trans Atlantic crossing to Miami for a performance at the annual conference of Diageo, where he again delivered a perfect performance to enhance his already growing reputation.
Acknowledgements
A quote in the Manchester Evening News recently stated that, “Even though the demands of a theatre stage are completely different to that of the work he has done over the past couple of years, it’s amazing how Cole Page still managed to communicate with the packed audience and deliver a wonderful performance”.
