An exciting, lively 6-piece band that really swings, The Top Cats are a band of established professional musicians with years of experience entertaining crowds. Guaranteed to get your party or function going with a swing and fill the dance floor they play an energetic mix of classic swing numbers from the 40’s and 50’s, and up tempo jive numbers by artists such as Louis Prima and Louis Jordan.

They have performed at a number of prestigious events and venues including the Gleneagles Hotel, Edinburgh International Jazz Festival, St James Cavalier Arts Centre (Valetta, Malta), Needhams (off Broadway, New York), Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, the Forth Rail Bridge Centenary celebrations, Henley Regatta and Vegas, as well as various TV appearances by members including The Tube, Top Of The Pops, Later With Jools Holland, and BBC Scotland Hogmanay Show.

At various times band members have toured and recorded with groups including Wet Wet Wet, Van Morrison, Mica Paris, The Proclaimers, Hue and Cry, Love and Money, Working Week, and Jimmy Ruffin.
