Jazz
and Swing
Giles Tingey Trio
The Giles Tingey Trio performs as a three-piece
instrumental or vocal-led jazz band dependant on the
clients preferred needs. Entertaining with a variety of
swing and jazz favourites with the occasional soul
classic thrown in for good measure.
The Giles Tingey Trio
performs smooth hits from Harry Connick Junior through
to Frank Sinatra to name but a few.
As a respected session musician, pianist and
vocalist, Giles' flexibility of styles has resulted in
him being recognised in a number of guises. From solo
performances in cocktail piano bars aboard some of the
worlds largest cruise ships and tours with tribute and
pop acts around Europe to featuring on a variety of
radio and television recordings, one thing is for sure:
professionalism talent and pure entertainment is what
his reputation has been built upon.
Aside from the, often hectic, touring schedules and
constant recording, Giles' has already performed at 67
weddings and 83 corporate/private events in 2005/06
alone! Whether an F1 racing celebration at Silverstone,
New Years celebrations in the Algarve, a renewing of
wedding nuptials in La Manga; Spain or a silent film
festival in the south of France no venue is too far (or
too bizarre) for Giles to perform.
Additionally, over the past thirteen years he has had
the honour of working with such pop artists as
Gabrielle, Rick Wakeman, The Moody Blues
and Kenny Lynch. Furthermore he has backed acts
such as Richard O' Brien, Sir Jimmy Tarbuck,
Dennis Waterman, Hale and Pace, Jasper
Carrott, and has performed for HRH The Prince of
Wales, David Coulthard and Chris Eubank
to mention just a few celebrity figures.
Fully self-contained, Giles has a variety of keyboards
and PA systems to suit any venue should an in-house
set-up not be available. Furthermore should you deem it
aesthetically necessary to have a grand piano at the
venue yet are worried about the realistic possibility of
such a venture, Giles will negotiate hire and
transportation costs of any extra equipment required
giving you one less thing to worry about when organising
your party.
