Pokey Hats
The POKEY HATS are five guys, with bagpipes, drums, a sense of humour and a pride in their national identity. They are a totally unconventional pipe band dressed like buskers with tee shirts, boots, sneakers and kilts they have over the years taken their unique interpretations of Scottish, contemporary and novelty music to audiences in Scotland, England, Ireland, Europe and the USA.
Energetic, enthusiastic, noisy and completely “off the wall” the Pokeys dance and run around whilst playing their instruments. A welcome and entertaining addition to any event.

Neilston & District Pipe Band
The Neilston and District Pipe Band was formed 25 years ago, 15km south west of Glasgow in the townships of Neilston and Barrhead.
The dress worn is the traditional kilt and plaid with accompanying dress and cross belts (no. 1 uniform).
The national instrument, the great highland bagpipe is accompanied by a corp of drums, namely snare, tenor and bass and the ensemble is lead by Drum Major William Martin and Pipe Major Iain Mcdonald.

Royal Burgh of Stirling Pipe Band
The Highland Bagpipe once a terrifying psychological instrument of war has now been harnessed into a joyful instrument that raises the spirits and brings a smile to the lips.
Today historic regimental marches blend with the songs of Robert Burns, Scotland's most famous Poet as well as with tunes from modern day composers.
For many The Highland Bagpipe is a celebration of all things great in Scottish history and culture.
Pipe Major Iain McDonald

Bagpiper
Iain McDonald is Pipe Major of Neilston and District Pipe Band and has led the band to the U.S.A., Canada, Thailand, Japan, Australia China and every European country.
Universally recognised as an expert on the Scottish bagpipes Iain is a staff tutor at the Piping Centre in Glasgow and Honorary tutor at the Piping School in Galecia, Spain. He has performed for the Queen, Prince Charles and two British Prime Ministers.
Iain recently toured Argentina, Chile and Brazil with the city of London Symphony Orchestra and last year piped in and addressed the haggis at the Scottish Soviet Friendship Society in Moscow.
He is also a superb Keeper of The Quaich and has hosted many international gatherings and conferences.
Lions RampaNt
The Lions Rampant were newly formed in 2007, and with a debut album available on REL Records entitled “Freedom”.
The Lions Rampant bring the pipes together with the sound of classic rock, and present some of Scotland's best loved melodies.

Macumba
MacUmba are a unique group of musicians based in Scotland who mix the traditional sounds of Scottish bagpipes with the infectious rhythms of Brazilian percussion.
Starting as a batucada (or drumming group) in the early 90's, MacUmba grew out of a series of drumming workshops held at the Glasgow School of Art. Soon after, MacUmba added various combinations of flutes, guitars, bass, voices etc. to the batucada, and performed at many events throughout Scotland.

Jimi the Piper and Sammi O
Jimi and Sam first performed together in an award winning show at the Edinburgh International Arts Festival in 2003 - an outdoor performance of "Gogo, The Boy With Magic Feet" at the city's Royal Botanic Gardens. They have been friends ever since.
Sam comes originally from Nigeria and now lives in Edinburgh. He is perhaps better known as a dancer and dance choreographer and has been involved in several successful Edinburgh Festival productions in recent years.
