Corporate Themed Event

Corporate Event - Winter Wonderland SECCA Winter Wonderland for the SECC staff party

The scene was set and the overall effect created with dramatic black cloths, giant icicles, snowflakes trees with white twinkling lights, frost, glitter, mirror balls and black and silver table linen.

Creative lighting sent sparkling light across the room creating a canopy of moving stars above the dance floor. Other lighting effects lit the dance floor with stunning effect

Tables dressed in black tablecloths, silver organza over-lays and black napkins. Chairs covered in black with silver organza ties.

Table centrepieces consisting of tall vases wrapped in silver gauze, frosted winter foliage and berries with frosted tall twigs intertwined with led lit fairy lights and sprinkled with glitter.

The entertainment package included Bobby Coates DJ and the Fabulous Soul Kings.

Themed Events - Moulin Rouge

A Wonderful Corporate Event!

Themed Event - Moulin rougeThe audience enters a spectacular setting of the Moulin Rouge dressed in luscious reds and black to the sound track of the movie or Moulin Rouge style band in black dinner suits. The music continues through dinner. Moulin Rouge hostesses in costume meet and greet the guests

The scene is set with a fabulous star-cloth backdrop with large red hearts (as in the movie) evoking the style of the Moulin Rouge.

Nineteen hundred style props, Palm trees, and up-lighters will enhance corners and pillars of the room with 7ft electric torches placed at the exits. Stage lighting and effects will spill on to the dance floor to give a dramatic effect.

The tables are set with black/red tablecloths, red/black napkins chairs covered in black with red bows. Spectacular centrepieces of gold pots studded with red rubies and filled with red velvet and rubies, topped by a 3ft high red led lit wire heart with large red ostrich feathers.

During dinner magicians and caricaturists will work close up at the tables. At coffee the Moulin Rouge dancers entertain with the Can Can and Lady Marmalade and the evening continues with a top class dance band or disco playing till late.

A casino can also be added to run in an adjoining room or in the reception area. This compliments the theme with a Grifter magician mesmerising the guests with card tricks and sleight of hand.

Corporate Event - Launch of Rock RadioAs the clock ticked down to the launch of Glasgow’s newest station a great party was held in a themed marquee at the headquarters of Real Radio in Glasgow’s East End.

This event had everything from Rock Classics and Harley Davidsons to old rockers clad in leather, celebrities, radio DJ’s and a line up of fabulous rock guitars.

Power and Light Theme Event for SELECT

Corporate Event for Power and Light The Glasgow Hilton ballroom was the scene for a spectacular event incorporating the association's colours.

A giant logo depicting Select in Scotland 100 on a sparkling star-cloth back drop.

Table centres were a stunning 1 metre high glittered stand with candles and topped by a brilliant fibre optic light .

Variety Club Ball

Corporate Event Planned for the Variety Club Themed Event

A fabulous setting for the Variety Club ball in the Hilton Ballroom Glasgow gave this annual event the Wow factor.

The room was set by Neil Drover and his team with a sparkling star-cloth covering the ballroom walls with creative lighting for the dance floor and stage.

Tables were dressed in gold crushed silk cloths, red napkins and red seat covers. Table centres of tall vases filled with winter berries gold twigs and intertwined with LED lit fairy lights created a spectacular setting.

Entertainment included, The Celebrity Band, Feeva and the Soul Kings.

The event Raised £60,000 for disabled and underprivileged Children throughout Scotland

Transport Museum Themed Event Planned for Pharmacia

Great Gatsby Themed Events
 Themed Events

This theme evokes the atmosphere and style of The Great Gatsby.

The room is set to give the impression of an outdoor party and the overall effect is created with the use of dramatic black star-cloths with white twinkling lights, mirror balls, black and white table linen and decorations evoking the style of the nineteen twenties and thirties and the era of swing and big bands.

The spaces around the area are decorated with tall trees stripped of foliage sprayed in black and silver with white twinkling lights. Strings of white lights or panels of gauze lit in dramatic colours creates a canopy above the dining area.

The stage is set with black and silver trees lit with small white lights, a star-cloth backdrop and other stage lighting. The Dance floor is lit with scans and lighting effects with two mirror balls reflecting sparkling white lights around the ballroom.

The tables are set with black tablecloths and white napkins. The chairs are covered with black covers and white bows.

Table centrepieces consist of 3ft tall slim vases filled with black stones with white cala lilies and tall twigs sprayed in silver and intertwined with led lit fairy lights.

The overall effect is stunning.

Birthday Party at Gleneagles Hotel

The ballroom of Gleneagles Hotel was the setting for this party held for the seven year old grand daughter of two of Scotland's best known business people.

The tables were dressed in Ivory and gold with clusters of Ivory and Gold balloons set around the stage and doorways.

Million Pound Bash!

The headlines proclaimed!

This is how the press described a star studded party held by Sir Jack Harvie at his beautiful home in Milngavie, Glasgow.

Carol SmillieDionne WarwickA marquee beautifully decorated was the venue for a star studded line up at what was undoubtedly one of the most lavish parties ever held in Scotland.

The invited audience of 300 guests were treated to a fantastic night of fun and entertainment with no expense spared, by the quality of the entertainment and hospitality. Leaving some of the guests completely awestruck!

Russell WatsonNeil Drover and his team put together a fabulous programme of entertainment with top TV presenter Carol Smillie introducing the incomparable Des O’Connor, Russell Watson, the chart topping opera singer known as “the Voice” and the American superstar, the fabulous Dionne Warwick and her band flown in especially for the occasion.

Des O'ConnorAcker Bilk and his paramount Jazz men, Bobby Wishart, stilt- walkers, jugglers, magicians, caricaturists and Mischief La Bas as the Paparazzi helped to create a fantastic atmosphere in the gardens and in the marquee during the dinner.

After the cabaret the guests danced into the wee small hours to the Drifters and one of the UK’s top Show-bands Alpha Connection!

Acker BilkStilt WalkersNeil Drover and his team worked for nine months prior to the event, liasing with Sir Jack, planning and organising the entertainment, stage set, lighting and sound, event crew, engineers, technicians, photographers, film production cameramen, accommodation and flights for 50 musicians and entertainers, and all travel arrangements from airports, hotels and to and from the party.

Focus on Scotland Event

The Glasgow Hilton was the venue for the twelfth Focus on Scotland Dinner to be held in Scotland. The dinner described as the biggest fundraiser in Britain, raised a fantastic £700,000!

Focus on ScotlandTory leader David Cameron was guest speaker and delivered a keynote speech to an audience of 900 business people.

Neil Drover was on hand to ensure the smooth running of the event and was responsible for the stunning stage set, theme and table décor, entertainment and a team of Focus on Scotland hostesses to help with fundraising activities on the night.

The event was a huge success and Sir Jack Harvie the prominent Scottish Businessman who has long been renowned as the Tory party’s leading fundraiser in Scotland wrote to Neil Drover...

"Many thanks for all your assistance in the presentation of the room and the banqueting suite entertainment for the Focus on Scotland Dinner on Friday.  The room looked superb and it all helped create the correct atmosphere for what was a ery successful evening."
